In recent years, by which I mean nearly two decades, I've learned to enjoy Thanksgiving for the aspects of it that I enjoy and to ignore the truer atrocities that lay hidden behind the holiday. In essence, all this holiday means to me is a day to pig out with family and to watch my two favorite poultry themed films (does turkey count as poultry? I've never thought about it before).
"Blood Freak" is maybe the greatest were-turkey movie in existence. It's a strange and beautiful mess of a film that has to be seen to really and truly understand why it's a b-movie holiday classic.
"Poultrygeist" is a movie that was made by the good people over at Troma, and it is exactly what you think it is; a movie about killer zombie fried chicken. It's a masterpiece.
I hope you all have an amazing Turkey Day! Eat, drink, and watch these two delicious movies!
